Hydro Solution Yoga!

Pascal Blais Studio has redesigned the 3D character frogs for Hydro Solution’s campaign in collaboration with Tam-Tam/TBWA. In this latest commercial, our main characters emphasize just how simple and easy life can be when one uses Hydro Solution’s water heaters.

Mini-Wheats: Stuck in the Middle

Pascal Blais Studio has come out with their newest Kellogg’s Mini-Wheats’ spot titled “Stuck in the Middle”. While the catchy tune starts the spot off on the right foot, it’s the imagery and the quality of animation that really gets us going! The newest concept of enjoying our beloved Mini-Wheats with a mix of fruit in the middle was directed by no other than director Alain Seguin.

Patrick Boivin is back!

Patrick Boivin is Back in Montreal after wrapping up production on this latest spot for Vodafone, Prague. Best known for his stop-motion viral shorts “Iron Baby”, “Bruce Lee vs. Iron Man” and Ninjas “Un-boxing” (generating over 2 million views in a few weeks) Patrick is equally talented with Stop-Motion, CG and Live-Action.

Disturbingly quiet, Ladybug makes a big entrance

If you have seen Buick’s latest spot, you might have noticed a very cute passenger sitting next to the driver. Although some might think it is real, this ladybug was fully animated in CG by Pascal Blais Studio. Working hand in hand with agency Olabuenaga Chemistri from Mexico and Santos Films, our tiny friend is a hyper-realistic model that was carefully tracked to resemble the real motion of live ones. Textures and extraordinary natural lighting was achieved by the use of HDR.

Cooler than ever, Pinguinos’ Rap Battle takes center stage!

Putting a new spin on the look of this famous duo, Pascal Blais directs this latest spot out of McCann Mexico for snack cake giant, Marinela.

Peter Piper pilot wins at the BANFF World Media Festival

Peter Piper and the Plane People, the 4 min TV show pilot, produced by Pascal Blais Studio and directed by Pascal himself, picked up the 1st place prize for best TV show Pilot at this year’s BANFF International Media event. This series, still in development, is the brain child of long time airplane buff Gerry Potterton, director of Heavy Metal.

Patrick Boivin adds another masterpiece to his collection with his latest production for Lego : “Cars 2” trailer

Director, Patrick Boivin, wraps production on the first of two LEGO Toy-Mation spots inspired by Pixar’s Cars 2 trailers. Using Stop-Motion, Boivin utilized the toy building bricks to re-enact every scene in the trailer.

Spring is always an exciting time for Pascal Blais Studio, seeing as it corresponds to the Vieux-Montreal Cegep’s Grant Award Ceremony for their Animation graduates. This year marks the sixth consecutive year where our team offers the grand prize to the best short-film produced by one of the students. On top of that, our founder, Pascal Blais, sits as a counsellor on the Mel Oppenheimer School of Cinema’s Comity, at Concordia University. The winner of the grant stands out not only for its originality but for the outstanding quality of its execution. Congratulations to Roxanne Baril-Monfette for winning the best 3D short-film with Il était une fois!
