Peter Piper pilot wins at the BANFF World Media Festival




Peter Piper and the Plane People, the 4 min TV show pilot, produced by Pascal Blais Studio and directed by Pascal himself, picked up the 1st place prize for best TV show Pilot at this year’s BANFF International Media event. This series, still in development, is the brain child of long time airplane buff Gerry Potterton, director of Heavy Metal.

Patrick Boivin adds another masterpiece to his collection with his latest production for Lego : “Cars 2” trailer




Director, Patrick Boivin, wraps production on the first of two LEGO Toy-Mation spots inspired by Pixar’s Cars 2 trailers. Using Stop-Motion, Boivin utilized the toy building bricks to re-enact every scene in the trailer.

Pascal Blais Studio: Proud supporter of Vieux-Montréal Cegep’s young talent




Spring is always an exciting time for Pascal Blais Studio, seeing as it corresponds to the Vieux-Montreal Cegep’s Grant Award Ceremony for their Animation graduates. This year marks the sixth consecutive year where our team offers the grand prize to the best short-film produced by one of the students. On top of that, our founder, Pascal Blais, sits as a counsellor on the Mel Oppenheimer School of Cinema’s Comity, at Concordia University. The winner of the grant stands out not only for its originality but for the outstanding quality of its execution. Congratulations to Roxanne Baril-Monfette for winning the best 3D short-film with Il était une fois!
